SubstraTulum is a Materials and Design Laboratory based in Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico. It transforms regional resources —sargassum, mineral aggregates, fibers, and biomass— into objects and habitable spaces, connecting territorial observation, material research, computational design, prototyping, and digital fabrication. It is in the research, prototyping, and validation stage (pre-revenue), with physical testing protocols developed in academic collaboration with the FabLab at Universidad Anáhuac México (Mexico City).

SubstraTulum’s showroom on Avenida Tulum functions as a point of contact for interior design and architecture projects and press inquiries. A dedicated press email is pending confirmation from the founders.
